Robert Cray!
Also Paul Rogers - Muddy Water Blues - great album. The first track starts quietly and then it just explodes and you have to get up and move. To be played at full volume. Bugger the neighbours.

I will try to contain myself… TRY….

(In no particular order)

B.B. King
Muddy Waters
Buddy Guy
John Lee Hooker
Junior Kimbrough
Willie Dixon
Howlin’ Wolf
R. L. Burnside
Son House
Slim Harpo
Joe Bonamassa

 *Dramatic Gasp!*

Had to stop…

I had a blues-gasm just from trying to compile an admittedly and grossly incomplete list!

Madonna (Just making sure you're still with me! :winkSmile

Led Zeppelin
Eric Clapton
The Doors
The Black Keys (Mmmmmm! Tasty! Get Chulahoma you will not soon stop playing it!!!)
The Stone Foxes (rock/blues blend new band)
Good piece of Paul Rodger's various ventures....

*trails off...*

One of the best blues/blues-rock artists I've heard is Jeff Healey. I think the Jeff Healey Band is quite under-rated and Healey himself was exceptionally talented considering he was blind. I'm not that into blues but I love this guy, my favorite track of his is 'See the Light' from his album of the same name.

Charles Mingus's "Blues and Roots" doesn't exactly fit in the "blues" genre, but Mingus does completely dissect the art of the blues and converts it into jazz

An expanded version of Junior Wells' Hoodoo Man Blues was just released - this is an incredible album and should be a part of every person's blues collection
