The rules are there to try and prevent unwanted posts, acting as a pre-warning to whoever is thinking of breaking them. However on some occassion, where a post may be of interest to members, we can turn a blind eye. It is really the pointless spam we are trying to get rid of, or sole agenda of self promotion. This is a youtube video, and not a big threat to the discussion experience.

I seem to have been in an especially stroppy mood - even for me! I thought it seemed just self-promotion and to be honest it crossed my mind to wonder if the fact of the pro-god aspect made a difference. Being a non-believer sometimes I feel that all sorts of exceptions are made for religious views and this can just plain irk me. Petty is not a good look though and I will restrain myself in future!

No, my leaving the up the link had nothing to do with being 'pro-God', i take each infringement of the rules on an individual basis.
i just thought it was interesting to mix gospel and rap and was hoping to spark some debate over that amalgamation of styles.
other moderators,have at times, left up links if they deem it interesting(as Techman says)...unfortunately on this occasion the discussion has gone other places.
