Week Thirty Five........My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky...........Swans - gryphon - 25-09-2010 My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Skyâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..Swans
This introduces the MD album review to experimental music!
Track Two Reeling The Liars In: Acoustic guitar oddities , If Salvador Dali had ever played guitar then this is how he might soundâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦????!!!âââââââ@@@@@@ Track Three Jim : Very alternative and thought provoking. Track Four My Birth: This seems to be heavy metal based, and very repetitive! Track Five You F***ing People Make Me Sick: Mandolin is used here to provide a hypnotic base for a simple rhythmic track, a surreal child voice harmony is employed to add to the affect, crashing piano chords lead the track to a confused ending, which resembles an audio interpretation of a WW2 dogfight in the sky. Track Six Inside Madeline : Military drumming , a bass guitar riff and a track is born. Finally a Lou Read type vocal â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.. Track Seven Eden Prison: Another heavy and regular start! Sounds like an audio picture of a long prison sentenceâ¦â¦â¦.Maybe the man was sentence to a vocal stretch of over six minutes? As innovative a feel about life in prison as Johnny Cashâs Falsom Prison Blues. Track Eight Little Mouth: The final track. This track starts with a performance by the artistâs cat? Dower vocal with flat overtones brings us the verbal message of the lyrics.:fear::attention: ![]() This album is an experiment in what can be achieved with sound. Bizarre, but, interesting almost addictive and surreal !
