NEW ALBUM: KATHERINE PRIDDY ~ These Frightening Machines - Ruby - 08-03-2026 KATHERINE PRIDDY ~ These Frightening Machines Cover art in the second clip below. I’ve been listening to this new release by Ms Priddy over the course of the day. It’s such an elegant folk pop offering, I must say. She has changed tack a bit, as I mentioned elsewhere, but lost none of her integrity in the process. She had a health scare at one point which is where the title came from – in and out of hospital. It comes as no surprise to find that she has a degree in literature – clever, proper songwriting – a breath of fresh air amidst all the murk. I don’t think there’s a bad track on the album although some linger more than others. The sound and components speak to thorough planning and production (by Rob Ellis - very well done). Worth a listen, IMHO, and I really feel it’s important to support artists who present such material in terms of a purchase. This release was not simply flung together and we need more of the same in the future please! I absolutely love “Hurricane” – just fantastic – so slick. Kinda difficult to pick favourites to link but here goes … “Hurricane” – again … A duet with Richard Walter - "I'm Always Willing" ... “Atlas” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-sGmA1Binc “Table Four” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMauurGSNMI "Could This Be Enough" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yRXSL3ixB0 |
