I really haven't discovered any new artists in the first two weeks of 2010. I'm still going through the best of 2009 that I missed out on when the albums were first released.

I listened to a borrowed, download of Midlake's new release The Courage of Others.
Only realised today that it's not released until Feb 10th.
It's very, very good...

Sunburned Hand of the Man - A
Tindersticks - Falling Down A Mountain
Yeasayer - Odd Blood
and the already mentioned Midlake - The Courage of Others

JonG Wrote:Tindersticks - Falling Down A MountainReally! I thought they'd thrown in the towel. A frantic Google reveals to me the truth of your post. Pity the tour dates largely skirt around England - although given a choice of Portugal or Wigen at this time of year I can empathise with their choice.

Have you heard Tindersticks's album The Hungry Saw? That came out in 2008. It was the first album in five years. I saw them when they toured in support of that album. I hope they come to the States this year.

you should totally check out Dan Black. he's more UK electronica meets indie pop, but his sound is pretty unique and it's growing on me. i recently heard his single Symphonies and after watching the video, i liked him even more. Super artsy, fun to watch, and it's a feel good song.
