NEW ALBUM: THE ZOMBIES ~ Different Game - Ruby - 07-04-2023 THE ZOMBIES ~ Different Game When humans eventually colonize Mars, I’m not convinced this album will make it off planet Earth, but you know what? It’s a worthy offering from this bunch of geezers IMHO. LOL! Sorry – but they really are. Happy geezers. And I think that’s what it is – no angst of any description, just easy, somewhat jazzy listening. Colin Blunstone doesn’t sing as effortlessly as he once did, but his voice is still in decent shape and they really are super duper accomplished musicians, all round. Most importantly, they know about song structure which really helps things run along smoothly. With Rod Argent in the picture, there is bound to be a certain standard upheld as regards production, so my verdict is that while this album won’t set the world alight, if you feel like listening to something warm, comforting, and completely inoffensive, that sounds like an old friend – jump on in for the ride! RE: NEW ALBUM: THE ZOMBIES ~ Different Game - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-04-2023 okay, so i listened to the album.... opening few seconds sounded almost like the vibe on 'whiter shade of pale' all be that one by Procol Harum... all the songs sounded like an old long lost friend nothing new contained within but 'new' is not what fans want anyway... well crafted songs, but what else would you expect from seasoned musicians anyway... makes the passing grade with almost, yet not surprising flying colours favourite for me was this one:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heoMXZ7ChIM
