christmas song royalties - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-12-2022 just read an article from the UK as to how much money artists make from their Yuletide tunes in the UK and the numbers are quite impressive yet mindboggling all the same: the article: Christmas song royalties: How much do Wham!, Mariah Carey and The Pogues earn every year? (msn.com) but if you dont want to read it these are the ten biggest money earners int he UK annually. as a footnote i was surprised to not see Roy Wood & Wizzard's "i wish it could be Christmas everyday" song not in the top 10 as i would have bet money it would be up there with Slade.
RE: christmas song royalties - Ruby - 03-12-2022 ^Pretty certain Chris Rea should be on that list, with "Driving Home for Christmas". That song receives extensive airplay as far as I'm aware! RE: christmas song royalties - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-12-2022 ^^ i agree Ruby. also, where is John & Yoko's "happy xmas (war is over)"? and in the UK where is "do they know its christmas?" |
