NEW ALBUM: Jimmy Barnes "blue christmas" - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-12-2022 Deezer listen: Aussie rocker, twentieth solo album, add 9 to that if you count his band Cold Chisel... thats 29 and almost  20 of those have hit #1 on the aussie albums charts including this new one this week... Barnes releasing a Christmas album is as left field as Bob Dylan doing one, oh wait, i forgot, he did release one... as abysmal as Bob's effort IMO and for the same reason...vocals!,  Barnes has screeched his way through almost 45 years of pub rock/blues rock and roll and mix that with lashings of vodka and scotch his voice has not aged well... he does try to sing properly but it sounds like he is trying too hard to not 'rock out' thus the whole thing sounds pretty forced. i admire him for his longevity and for a lot of his albums but this one is really pushing the boundaries for me: the lead off single:
