Spotify listen.

UK experimental group of everchanging members.
only mainstay is Damon Albarn, formerly of Blur.
seventh album, i own three, maybe four.
always curious and interested to hear their new material because it doesnt sound like anyone else, so even if i dont like it i find it still has an interesting and refreshing appeal to it
albums are a mixture of loops, samples, sound effects/bytes which serve as a backdrop to catchy hooks and unexpected featured artists which wouldnt normally belong with Albarn let alone Gorillaz.
anyway,
a collection of rap/r+b, pop, dance, funk, electronica, synthpop, even some world music all put in a blender and spat out the other side to form a style unique to the band.
featured artists on here include Sir Elton, Slaves, St Vincent, Beck, Robert Smith and Joan As Policewoman to name a few.
i thought seventeen tracks was too much here, would have liked it wittled down to 10-12 as it did get a bit too repetative halfway through.
three or four good tracks on here, another three or four interesting tracks but the remainder were blah for me.

favourite track was the one featuring Robert Smith (vocals for The Cure, ans i was never a Cure fan)
another cool video for the song also!
