Modern composer Michael Canales - tapetumlucidum - 26-05-2020 Is anyone else a fan of his? Very underrated and beautiful music - really loved his opera set in ancient Rome called The Tyrants. The thing I really love about his music is there's these two elements seamlessly mixed together...on one hand there's this sense of danger and foreboding, on the other it always sounds hypnotic, sensual, even sexual, almost something you could ballroom dance to. Sensual but with overtones of disembowelment... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDj2STEnIw4 |
