NEW ALBUM: Amy Speace "me and the ghost of Charlemagne" - CRAZY-HORSE - 14-09-2019 Spotify listen: American folkie... released a good half dozen albums but ive never heard her name previously... brilliant voice... storyteller, poet... music is crisp and clean... hearing Marianne, Joan, Harry  amongst others... her style if planted firmly in the 1970s, thus the comparisons im hearing... piano based, some ethereal chorus/backing vocals... seriously, this should be high on those end of year best of albums lists for sure... the other three regular members here should listen to this album (Ruby, MH, Jerome) got a feeling R_Burke and SteveO will go for this one also... superb stuff from the album: "pretty girls"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BecQlFl6im0 "grace of God"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BecQlFl6im0 and my favourite, the title track: RE: NEW ALBUM: Amy Speace "me and the ghost of Charlemagne" - Ruby - 14-09-2019 Wow - that songs sounds very personal - brave, sincere, articulate.
