NEW ALBUM: Orville Peck "pony" - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-04-2019 Spotify listen: debuts at number thirty something on the UK Americana charts this week.... music has that 1950s 'country and western' sound happening... I noticed his vocal quality immediately which on the first couple of tracks sounded like The Big 'O' and Chris Issaks, but without the vast octave range.. has style similar to Lloyd Cole (ala "rattlesnakes" album), Dave Faulkner (Hoodoo Gurus) quieter moments and also while we are at it lets throw in Morrissey's vocal style... yup, that's perfect, imagine Morrissey recording a country album and this is what youd have... superb album, probably my favourite new release listen of the year so far, loved it! one of the singles :dead of night" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3esGD6lcMM another single: "big sky" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd_uz5rVO2I the latest single: WARNING: if you listen to the linked songs minimalize the screen as the videos are so stupid they detract from the songs.
