metallica albums: worst to best. - QMobs - 30-05-2018 Metallica has long-been my favorite band of all time and the main source of music I had while growing up, so it's safe to say I've had a long time to listen to all of their albums and craft my opinions about them. So I'd like to share my thoughts on what I believe to be their worst to best albums, and I'd like to hear all of your thoughts/opinions on the band's projects as well. (I'm judging these albums and putting them in an order based on overall structure and catchiness of songs, creative use of guitar/drums/bass, and deep lyrical meaning and genius. I'm excluding the 'Garage Inc.' album because they are cover songs, and also the live 'S&M' album) 11. 'Lulu' (with Lou Reed). 10. 'St. Anger'. 9. 'Reload'. 8. 'Load'. 7. 'Hardwired To Self-Destruct'. 6. 'Death Magnetic'. 5. 'Kill Em' All'. 4. 'Black Album'. 3. 'Ride The Lightning'. 2. 'Master Of Puppets'. 1. '...And Justice For All'. RE: metallica albums: worst to best. - Jerome - 31-05-2018 Sorry just can't listen to this band's stuff. It's all too predictable to me. Definitely have to disagree with the predictability aspect there. When it comes to heavy metal (which soon transitions to a more hard rock style) then I always saw Metallica as helping really adapt the genre and keep it relevant with their varying themes and evolving production, which changes with each album; not to mention how they even dabbled with the country music genre in their 'Load' album. You're certainly entitled to your opinion however. RE: metallica albums: worst to best. - Jerome - 01-06-2018 Oooops - my mistake. I was thinking of Marillion. I always get those two mixed up. Apologies. RE: metallica albums: worst to best. - QMobs - 01-06-2018 (01-06-2018, 01:12)Jerome Wrote: Oooops - my mistake. I was thinking of Marillion. I always get those two mixed up. Apologies. Haha no problem RE: metallica albums: worst to best. - SteveO - 03-06-2018 I respect Metallica as one of the all time iconic metal bands along with Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden ! However unfortunately I can't listen to them for a long period of time as there is something annoying about Hetfield's voice ! |
