I don't really know who's current, but Missy Elliott has my respect. Rap is even more male dominated than other popular music genres. There really aren't that many female MC's, not to mention DJ's or producers.

I actually really like female rap artists. With male artists, a lot of the time, I think they just get lazy and all their stuff sounds the same. I think the female artists try harder.
