Sad but Mama Cass died on this day in 1974 Sad

such a sad loss to the industry IMO also,

Mama's & The Papa's were one of my faves from that so-called Hippy era of music.

Mamas and Papas were and still are one my fave groups. They are timeless.
We always sang this song when the family got together.

they were one of the many artists who spent time at Charles Manson's Spahn Ranch in the late 1960s...

other notable artists who did so were Beach Boys, Byrds, Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Joni Mitchell

WOW, I never heard that. Or, I didn't remember. Been a long time ago.
Alot was going on in the 60s.
I think the 60s was the most active time in our history.

My neice is on SMULE. She loves the old songs too.
I just talked to Cathy (her mom) and told her to get Samantha Brumley (my neice)
to do this song on there.
