My plans continue to take shape - Morpethian - 06-09-2017
Having asked in a local music shop, I can buy a microphone and stand for about sixty pounds. There is a cheaper one, but the sales assistant did not recommend it. I would also need a mixer and a speaker, which together would come to a couple of hundred minimum. I can afford that.
I hope to find a keyboard player who will learn to play about eight songs, which I will learn fully first. I then hope to book myself plus keyboard player to perform live at some local pubs.
One question: assuming that I perform two sets - ie play the eight songs, then have a break, then perform them again - then how much should I be offering to pay the keyboard player? Any thought?

People are going to get bored hearing the same eight songs twice in a night - learn sixteen different ones instead. It's not rocket science.
