Sleaford Mods "English tapas"
Spotify listen:
debuts at #3 on the UK indi albums chart this week...
UK band...
tenth album, heard of them but never heard them...
sound harks back to the UK sounds of the late 1970s
and early 1980s...
brash, abrasive post UK punk here...
slight similarities to Ian Dury, Merton Parkers, Bureau, Wu Tung etc..
minimalistic music, bass and drums with a bit of synth here and there...
good to finally hear a good album this week.
