legendary screen actor John Hurt dead, aged 77, pancreatic cancer:
who can forget his portrayal as John Merrick, The Elephant Man?
has also appeared in Alien, Harry Potter, Dr.Who amongst other great films, he will be sorely lost in an industry full of mediocrity performances IMO.
he also holds the record for being killed off in more movies than any other actor.
