The Pretenders "alone" - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-11-2016 The Pretenders "alone" Spotify listen: album number nine for Chrissie and Co, and first in almost a decade... I know the band from their 70s-80s singles and their first handful of albums anyway... this one has an almost garage band sound, slightly grungy (if that's the right word??) in other places, lots of slower almost ballad-esque tunes also... her nasally, sultry vocals are still present and you can almost instantly tell its a Chrissie Hynde album, I say Hynde instead of Pretenders because, its always almost been her with side musicians (few stayed around long enough to really be considered true band members IMO), anyway, not a bad album, better than most of the crap in the charts, and its good to see an old-ish rocker still out there kicking some ass! from the album: the title track and my favourite from one listen: The Pretenders "alone" - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-11-2016 and the single from the album: |
