Xander Clinthorne: A Carefully Curated Collection of Unforeseen Melodies - uniquemusic - 13-01-2016 I have really been enjoying Xander Clinthorne's two albums. I got both of the albums from iTunes. The first one "A Soundtrack for Pondering the Distant Future" he made during cancer treatment and there is an interesting combination of very soothing songs and dark emotional songs. His new CD, "A Carefully Curated Collection of Unforeseen Melodies" is much more cohesive and each song flows into the next. If you like relaxing and experimental music that defies classification, try one of these albums out. The new album has been blowing my mind! I have been listening to it non-stop this winter. Xander Clinthorne: A Carefully Curated Collection of Unforeseen Melodies - Jerome - 13-01-2016 I am a big fan of ambient music but this is just aural 'soup' trying to parade as art. The titles are as pretentious as the music is bland. Pass. For real ambient music try Brian Eno's 'Apollo - Atmospheres and Soundtracks' or his 'Music for Films'. |
