Mr. Byrne, late of Talking Heads, has become enchanted by that type of performance folk-art known as color guard. Using either swing flags on poles or mock weapons, it's a synchronized type of dancing. He's written music and induced others to write and live-perform at color guard exhibitions and competitions.
