Tony Bennett's Main Man has died - jazzboCR - 10-04-2015

His accompanist, arranger and music director, Ralph Sharon, died March 31. The 2 had a close association for 50 years but Mr. Sharon had his own career too.: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/ralph-sharon-mn0000863940/discography Here's an obit: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/07/arts/music/ralph-sharon-jazz-pianist-who-accompanied-tony-bennett-dies-at-91.html
Mr. Sharon did lots on his own with significant guests--not vanity productions, solid mainstream jazz. Tugs at my heartstrings and keeps me alert-relaxed.
