BLACKBERRY SMOKE "holding all the roses"

fourth album from these lads from "the deep south"...Georgia to be exact!
album has been released a month or so in the US/UK, but has only just made it to
Australian shores(the guy in the rowboat must have been going against the winds!)
i hear lots of so-called Americana here, bits of Tom Petty, some bluesy 1970s rock
,Kid Rock,John Cougar Mellencamp and The Black Keys throughout this one....
a couple of almost country-esque ballads on here also...
the album starts off with the 'punch' of "let me help you find the door" and doesnt look back,
slow down or ease off into medriocrity and half baked songs...
this album is for anyone who wants genuine rock music from a young band...
without a doubt, the best new album iver heard this year, and this will be hard
to surpass by anyone this year IMO...awesome stuff!
i will be seriously checking out the artist's back catalogue, thats how impressed
i am with this album!
