"The Pitbulls of Blues" - jazzboCR - 18-01-2015
...Lead by Josh Rowand. A rockin' trio from South Florida. Individual songs don't nearly give you the savor and flavor of the 2-hour experience his show is--new takes on old songs ("Spirit in the Sky" in a medley with 2 other cracklin' tunes) and just generally mixing it up. Pure delight. And yes, that's his dad on bass. His site: http://thepitbullofblues.com/ << he sports an enormous pompadour these days and his guitar is modeled on a '57 Chevy.
some tunes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdGhVNVWCSA << veteran player and totally pro band--poised for national success
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGlkBgyJjA4 << Not afraid to tackle any genre...and show mastery of it. Having a flexible band sure helps.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfUlrqzmj20 << unusual for him to be acoustic; ditto his dad on Reso bass--sure works with the song though
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6V8eK008iU << yes, that's him sitting in on keys and vocals...gettin' as real as can be....How's that for an unexpected treat?
