Since the inevitable spit-ups and split-ups, what's happened to various band members?
Let''s start with the J Geils Band--J Geils, Magic Dick, Peter Wolf, Seth Justman and and the mystery man and only true Bostonian, Stephen Jo Bladd.

Stephen Jo Bladd the drummer has apparently dropped out of music, allegedly with back and/or arthritis problems. Unknown as to what he's done since.
Seth Justman Keyboard player/producer/songwriter (he and Peter Wolf co-wrote most of the JGB's material and he wrote all of the Love Stinks album). Seemingly hasn't done much since '86 (produced and partly co-wrote a Debby Harry album).

My favourite Geils album is Monkey Island and I wish they had made another album like this, in that it combined progressive rock, jazz-rock, heavy funk and traditional jazz.

only hits they ever had here were "centrefold" and "freezeframe", "angel in blue" wasnt a hit here but did get a lot of airplay at the time...
i have the "freezeframe" album on vinyl from back in the day...and "angel in blue" is my favourite track off it from memory...
i cant recall anything else by them that ive heard...
i remember hearing a couple of songs from Peter Wolf when he released a solo album,they failed to really grab me though

No sir--those are CD prices. Vinyl is available from $7 total. My reasoning: Nearly everything had gone digital in '77--the vinyl was produced as an afterthought. The CDs didn't sell and so were either deeply discounted (and thus disappeared into collections from which they haven't emerged) or recycled. Big current demand (as it's worth is coming to the fore) and little supply. The vinyl from that era got dumped when the purchasers either relocated/downsized or died, and the unsold excess got unceremoniously squirreled away in some anonymous warehouse in Utah. That's what makes cruising thrift stores with knowledge so much fun--I don't do it but know a couple of dudes who make a decent living at it.

J Geils!!! Had the utmost pleasure of catching them live in the 80s!!! A tremendous show at the height of their popularity here!!!! Stadium was a rockin and packed!!!! We loved 'em up here!
