Which Genre would you classify John Dahlbacks music as - chris_1981 - 08-01-2008
I have a hard time defining which genre John Dahlbacks tunes are - I would say sort of tech house but he seems to release about 50 thousand tracks a week so its hard to pin it down - any suggestions? Btw John Dahlbacks tune "hugges theme" is one of my absolute all time faves - menacing!!

He does not stick to one style. Sometimes his records are more house, sometimes techno. Sometimes electro-house, sometimes minimal techno. I most like his releases under the alias "HUG". Those 12"s all fall under the "minimal" style.
A good way to tell what style a record is is to look at what record label released it. For example, his releases as "HUG" are mostly on the K2 label. K2 is a sub-label of Kompakt which releases dancefloor ready minimal techno.

yeah I thought i had all his stuff but...after a certain pink palace was taken down i've not heard much new stuff from him recently
