New Record! Honky Tonk Express - steelguitar - 10-12-2014 Listen to six new songs by the Swedish country band Albin & The Honky Tonk Express! https://soundcloud.com/honky-tonk-express New Record! Honky Tonk Express - jazzboCR - 10-12-2014 Excellent songs and playing--among the better 20+ minutes I've spent lately. Thank you for sharing and I wish you and them every success, steelguitar. Do they have a good following in Sweden/Scandanavia? Any plans for US touring? I could absolutely see them on the bill with Mark Stuart's great outfit: http://www.bsojc.com/ One minor cavil about a song title: it's a peculiarity of English that putting a hyphen between words can entirely change the meaning of the phrase. Case in point: "City Bound" means bound for (heading to) the city; "City-Bound" means enclosed by (bound by) the city. Feel free to ignore me in this. Personal Note: It's grand to see a music like this exports so well. If you have more by them or similar outfits, please post on them. "Can't get enough/ Of this good stuff". New Record! Also I recently posted on rockabilly--songs to be adapted, licks to be stolen...Includes a link to a record label in Los Angeles specializing in rockabilly: http://www.music-discussion.com/showthread.php/18639-rockabilly-old-amp-new-from-here-amp-there It's usually considered tacky or ill-mannered to quote yourself but in this case... Here's that label: http://www.wildrecordsusa.com/ |
