Best way to dampen guitar amp noise for neighbours - johnhalsey - 29-10-2014 Hello, i am just after a bit of advise if possible. I play guitar in my spare bedroom just for fun, but was to dampen the noise to my neighbours (I live in a flat) without affecting the sound for me, I generally am quite close to it. Its not desperately big amp, I think 75 Watts, but it has some punch, and I don't want to reduce the volume too much to me, but dont want unhappy neighbours. Also not keen on soundproofing the whole room. Does anyone know of like wrapping it in foam or something (bar the front) might work? Any suggestions welcome. Thank you. Crazy Horse has good advice! Either that or play an acoustic. I heard years ago that you could virtually sound proof a room by affixing empty (no eggs in them) egg cartons to the walls and ceiling...don't know how you line them up...what a foolish idea...lol |
