Great acoustic music happening on that album! Which you consider the best album of The Pink Floyd? - Jerome - 11-03-2014 Being a Floyd nut I like different albums for different reasons. Musically - Wish You Were Here followed by the Division Bell Conceptually - The Wall and The Final Cut (I actually prefer the overall feel of The Final Cut, especially the orchestration, but The Wall has some real classics - Comfortably Numb & Hey You) For the experimental side of things - probably Meddle, Animals & More For songwriting & lyrics - Dark Side of the Moon For nostalgia - Obscured by Clouds & Ummagumma For a more New Age feel - A Momentary Lapse of Reason - Love that intro to the album, some great instrumental passages and The Turning Away is a classic (magnificent guitar solo at the end) But if I could only choose one - and I can't really - it would have to be Wish You Were Here. A unique album in my opinion, never to be repeated. Their live albums Pulse & The Delicate Sound of Thunder are OK but nothing to write home about. Pulse DVD is spectacular. I do not really like any of the early albums (Piper, Saucerful etc) As far as the solo albums are concerned David Gilmour - About Face Roger Waters - Radio Kaos & Amused to Death Richard Wright - Wet Dream and Broken China Of the solo albums Broken China is by far the most innovative Albums to avoid - Music from the Body by Roger Waters and Ron Geesin. Fictitious Sports by Nick Mason Mediocre albums On an Island by David Gilmour The Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking by Roger Waters I do not like any of Syd Barrett's material - Floyd or solo.
