this one is a single disc budget version of their 2000 "volare!the very best of" double disc set...
the band are French, made up of brothers from two famillies who fled Spain during the Civil War there in the 1930s....
their Latino music is primarily pop and dance music in the Latin music scene....
i cannot understand a single word they sing in their songs, but its infectious,uplifting,toe-tapping stuff that just makes you feel good inside...
a lot of these songs would be recognisable to you guys, if only for the fact youve heard them as tv commercials/jingles...
but these guys are serious business in South America and Europe...
theyre multi-Grammy nominated, even won one a few years ago....
all up, a very good album that unlike anything else i own in my cd collection....
worst track on here for me is a medley of their songs, and the most interesting track is their Latino version of Eagles "hotel california",
nothing on here i dont like and plenty that i love!

Don't know if I like it yet but well I am listening to it :redface:.
By the way the last years of waiting have me been getting creative on how to get all the Rihanna songs and also similar music and I found this community that helps you to record Rihanna and similar music. Quite nice to handle.
Anyway I hop the new album will not be too much into rap cause I prefer her more happy songs.

i guess that after thirteen years between albums('the raw and the cooked' was the previous one), and a debut solo record that the buying public
at large have generally moved on to newer pastures whic is why this one didnt sell....
this album has the trademark sound of his Fine Young Cannibals abound....
Gifts trademark unique vocal style and distinct sound is still here...
the lyrics are good...that of a matured man with a bit of life-reflection happening in places...
it is slick and glossy with the crisp sounds of a FYC album...
basically, the guy is a class act with the overall sounds he gets as a pop singer...
but, there is nothing brilliant on htis one, just a good all-round album of fine songs....
Gift is apparently currently in the studio as i type recording a follow-up to this one...another thirteen year gap...WTF???
