bet you never thought i'd really like Gilmour's debut solo set did you Jerome?...

in fact a couple of years ago you couldn't have given it to me...

with the lack of modern musical talent at ones fingertips we start going backwards in order to move forewards...

The Eagles are actually on the list to revisit this year to see if they get me hooked this time round.

Yes CH, you've got me there. Did not think you would like it.

You're growing up!

Now we have to have this awkward discussion about when your private parts start growing..........LOL! (taken from The Big Bang Theory)

Jackson C Frank was born on this day in 1943, in Buffalo, New York. The anniversary of his death is tomorrow – he died in 1999 at the age of 56, down on his luck and suffering from multiple ills, physical and mental. He was a folk singer and musician, and a gifted songwriter who only ever released one album (produced by Paul Simon) but whose songs have been recorded, and sung, by many artists.

He was a tragic figure who had a difficult life, not least experiencing the explosion of a furnace at his school when he was only 11 years old; fifteen of his fellow students were killed and he was burned over 50% of his body. He also later lost his own son to cystic fibrosis. Hell … all of that is bound to have a lasting effect on anyone.

This is the best known of his songs and has been covered by Simon and Garfunkel, Sandy Denny, Nick Drake, Colin Meloy, Mark Lanegan, Counting Crows, John Mayer, etc., etc. “Blues Run the Game” –

Dave Amato was born on this day in 1953 in Massachusets. He joined REO Speedwagon in 1989, as their lead guitarist and has also contributed to albums by Ted Nugent and Jimmy Barnes in a backing vocalist capacity. Never been a particular REO fan, but they do have a distinctive sound and have certainly made their mark on the musical landscape.

This is from their fifteenth studio album, released in 2007 -
