Lots of attitude What Are You Listening To? - Joshpop - 28-11-2014 I'm still not Sick of this one... Awful pun What Are You Listening To? - Joshpop - 28-11-2014 Also have to big this one up after a recommendation from this forum! What Are You Listening To? - SteveO - 28-11-2014 I really like this song! The accordion is so cool! What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 07-12-2014 Band Members for this release Liam Gallagher â vocals, tambourine Noel Gallagher â lead guitar, backing vocals, piano Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs â rhythm guitar, piano Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan â bass Tony McCarroll â drums ![]() Recording History studio albums - 7 live albums - 1 compilation albums - 5 ep's - 1 singles - 29 videos - 36 Brit Awards - 6 NME Awards - 9 MTV Awards - 5 from my library (cd) ![]() Producer: Oasis 1st studio album - #58 US, #1 UK, #23 AUS singles - Supersonic - #31 UK .............Shakermaker - #11 UK .............Live Forever - #39 US, #10 UK, #70 CAN .............Cigarettes & Alcohol - #7 UK 4 Brit Award nominations and a win for Best British Newcomer 3 NME Awards for Single & Album of the year and Best New Band Brought guitar pop back. Most anything on here would fit nicely on the White Album. England took this to the top of the chart and it was the fastest selling debut album of all time there. The album did not have immediate success in the US, although it has gone Platinum over time. That doesn't come close to the 7X Platinum mark in the UK. It remains the groups second best selling album. I LIKE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Bring It On Down Best Track - Live Forever Track Listing 1. Rock 'N' Roll Star ** 2. Shakermaker ** 3. Live Forever *** 4. Up in the Sky ** 5. Columbia ** 6. Supersonic *** 7. Bring It on Down ** 8. Cigarettes & Alcohol ** 9. Digsy's Dinner ** 10. Slide Away ** 11. Married with Children ** 3's - 2 2's - 9 1's - 0 grade - 2.2 of 3.0 allmusic - 5.0 of 5.0 What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 07-12-2014 I like this album.... Liam and the boys certainly reintroduced swagger and attitude back to music with their brash, aggressive personalities.... They pretty much single-handedly brought back "punk spirit" to the masses. What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 11-12-2014 Band Members for this release Liam Gallagher â vocals, tambourine Noel Gallagher â lead guitar, backing vocals, piano Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs â rhythm guitar, piano Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan â bass Alan White - drums ![]() Recording History studio albums - 7 live albums - 1 compilation albums - 5 ep's - 1 singles - 29 videos - 36 Brit Awards - 6 NME Awards - 9 MTV Awards - 5 from my library (cd) ![]() Producer: Owen Morris, Noel Gallagher 2nd studio album - #4 US, #1 UK, #1 AUS, #1 CAN singles - Some Might Say - #1 UK .............Roll With It - #2 UK, #48 AUS .............Morning Glory - #25 AUS .............Wonderwall - #8 US, #2 UK, #1 AUS, #5 CAN .............Don't Look Back In Anger - #55 US, #1 UK, #19 AUS, #24 CAN .............Champagne Supernove - #20 US, #26 AUS, #11 CAN 3 Brit Awards 2 MTV Awards 3 NME Awards This is the groups best selling album and the best one that I have. Love 4 of the 10 tracks. Listed as 12 but two are short instrumentals which I don't even rate. This album is more ballad driven than the debut with more strings and such and those are the tracks I love. The recording of the album was when the tensions between the Gallagher brothers began to surface along with their egos. Then there was the media created battle with Blur for Brit pop supremacy which wasn't helped by Noel's quote of he hoped "the pair of them (Blur members) would catch AIDS and die because I ******* hate them two". That didn't go over too good. I didn't know the band changed drummers on this album booting the original guy for Alan White. Hard feelings over that. And I would catch hell from CH if I didn't mention Paul Weller's contribution on Champagne Supernova. I LOVE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Hey Now Best Track - Don't Look Back In Anger Track Listing 1. Hello ** 2. Roll with It ** 3. Wonderwall *** video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzrDeceEKc 4. Don't Look Back in Anger *** 5. Hey Now! ** 6. [Untitled Track] 7. Some Might Say ** 8. Cast No Shadow ** 9. She's Electric *** audio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dUV4VAr9lk 10. Morning Glory ** 11. [Untitled Track] 12. Champagne Supernova *** video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3C7DECI0jU 3's - 4 2's - 6 1's - 0 grade - 2.4 of 3.0 allmusic - 5.0 of 5.0 What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 12-12-2014 That's the most complete album they ever made IMO as a fan.... Its pretty hard to go past your favourite pick also.... The opening piano on the track was primarily a slowed down version of Lennon's Imagine apparently.... Weller also co-wrote Champagne Supernova but refused to want credit for it....with them being a young band and all, Noel in return played some guitar on Weller's Stanley Road album in the same year. Was also a Beatles/Stones chart rivalry between these guys and Blur happening in the UK at this time also.... Drummer Alan White was the younger brother of Weller's drummer Steve White who worked with Weller from 1983(as a 16yo) through to the mid 2000s What Are You Listening To? - MichaelGagliardi - 12-12-2014 Music is my passion I love or listen all types of music. But mostly I listen the latest music that are running now a days and old musics which very melodious to listen. |
