i thought the same on the Monkees when i picked it up in the store also, but like you said,for the price....!
ive heard the new James Blunt album, im no fan of his and the new one isnt as good as Bedlam(but its okay,it passes!)
Eagles...who knows, i may become a fan one day, not sure if hell will freeze over first though LOL

i reviewed this one from an online listen earlier in 2013, loved the simplicity of the vocal/piano sounding tracks as Elton returned to his
1970s roots so i had to get it!
DAVID BOWIE "the next day"
yeh-yeh, i criticised this one when i reviewed it on MD when it came out in 2013,i said it was a load of crap with Bowie trying to relive his glory days
and that the "heroes" rip-off cover was the best thing about it, but...
ive heard it a couple more times since then and it has grown on me a bit(same cant be said for the McCartney album though LMAO SteveO!)
as a footnote, ive listened to the latest Arcade Fire and Kings Of Leon albums and they havent done anything for me so i wont be getting those!

thats a bloody good collectiuon of cds you have bought MH...
glad you got the Jake Bugg,the two P!NK and Nick Cave(finally got another one,great stuff)
i have the Bee Gees one...awesome from the 'get-go'!
cant go wrong with Kenny,especially his early stuff(up to and including 'islands in the stream')
and Neil Daimand/John Denver, great value at any price IMO
just not sure who the following are, please advise?!
i recognise the middle album cover but cant place it???,never seen the other two though...
