im really struggling to see where there is a racist comment in this???
https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/mum-accused-of-racism-after-sharing-post-congratulating-her-son/ar-BB1cP1Cm?ocid=msedgdhp

wasnt really sure where to put this???

so my parents were at one of our major shopping centre cafe's having coffee/breakfast this morning and my dad noticed a young guy about 18-20 who was sitting with presumably his mother. the guy kept looking over at my parents.

my dad was wearing his "abbey road" Beatle t-shirt (so was the young guy but my dad didnt know this at the time.)

anyway, after a while my dad got up and approached the couple just to enquire as to if they know him as they kept looking over.
the young guy said "i noticed you were wearing the same Beatle t-shirt as me". (he seemed pleased as punch!)

my dad went on to say "oh so youre obviously a fan" etc etc  (lots of small talk about 1960s music)...
after a short while while my dad said to the young guy "ah, but ive done something youll never do"
the young guy says "what's that?"
my dad retorts back "ive seen the Beatles in concert....not once but twice, and i was within arms reach of them the first time at a little club, second time was in a crowd of about 500 just after they released their first lp!"
the youngster fell off his chair in sheer shock that he was talking to someone who had seen the Beatles in concert

theres no moral or fancy ending to the story, thats it, just thought it was funny that someone was in awe of someone who'd seen the Beatles LOL

The reason you're struggling to find it is because it does not exist. She was simply stating a fact but some people just can't cope with the truth. That's because they are either bi-polar or suffer from some imagined mental illness or are 'stressed' out - the new excuse for not being responsible for anything. Have you noticed how many health insurance companies, health care facilities and corporations are climbing on the 'mental well being' wagon. It's ludicrous. Way back when, people with real mental health issues were the ones who genuinely needed care, treatment and hospitalisation. These days if someone's phone battery dies it becomes a mental health issue??!!?? Charge the bloody thing.

All the banks here are forcing people to adopt a two-step verification method to 'ensure greater protection for their clients', despite their device of choice for this verification being your mobile phone - one of the least secure methods of conducting banking. Why can't they sort out the original problem - i.e fix the first step first. Next some idiot will dream up 3-step verification and overcomplicate the whole mess all over again. The lunatics (read - those with 'mental health issues' ) are running the asylum.

BTW for fans of Simon Phillips - he is busy putting an autobiography together. A must-read for me. This guy has played with every big name in the business.

these "A" list tennis professionals come to our country to play in the Australian Open, they must be fully aware of the rules/laws and what is expected of them regarding Covid before they come here yet still kick up a stink and try to manipulate authorities by placing demands and requests when they arrive...
these upstarts need to do what theyre told or 'eff off' back to where the hell they came from, its this exact attitude of entitlement that is fueling Covid everywhere!

Going to be taking a break from the forum for a while. Not sure how long. A couple of things I need to sort out. Keep the flag flying and all that and look after yourselves. Adios.

finally!
someone calling Spector for what he was....a murderer!
i hate all this "flawed genius" crap, he sadistically brutalized women and children, period!
oh and BTW, his 'wall of sound' was IMO, a murky, stifled mess of noise in the 1960s.
