my opinion is, youre Elton John sing whatever the hell you want to sing the real fans would love to hear some 'deep cuts'!.
i get it though, songs like Crocodile Rock have literally made him a lot of money over the decades, fans feel as though theyre entitled to hear it and he feels he is obligated to play it for probably the same reasons.
i had this exact same discussion over 'expected' tracks with another Paul McCartney fan several years ago, we both agreed we would love to see him live with no Beatle tracks in the set list, just post-Beatle material.
i think 'real fans' of these celebrated artists would love to hear 'deep tracks' but alas the majority of ticket buyers are casual fans who only know the major hits and the artists feel obliged to play them.

in most parts of the world when someone injures or kills a police dog they are charged with assault/attempted murder or murder of a police officer, and rightfully so,
but in this case where a Californian cop bashes his police dog all the plices service do is take the dog off him...
one law for cops, another for civillians.
sorry but the dude should be charged with not only criminal crimes but animal cruelty crimes also IMO...
