Hard for me to not love this. Traditional gospel songs for the most part. Thing is I would love these songs no matter who did them. Country
style doesn't hurt. Alan was probably getting bored from all the awards when he decided to record this, his 12th album. The man has had 10 #1
country albums, including this one which crossed over to a #4. He put out a volume 2 of this just last year. It was on my short list but didn't
make the cut. Hope to pick it up at some point. Think I got this one in the $5 bin. Only a few years till the new one shows up there. I can make
it. There were no singles released from this album, so the platinum sales figures were for no other reason than it was Alan Jackson. One of the
few remaining traditional country artists of note. Can't believe the allmusic rating for this. All of these live clips are from a concert at the Ryman.
