AC/DC "back in black", re-enters the chart, I guess classic albums just keep on keeping on Weekly Music Charts for 2017 - CRAZY-HORSE - 15-04-2017 UK singles chart for week ending 14th April: ![]() 13 is unlucky for some, including Ed Sheeran whose thirteen-week stint at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart has come to an end.Harry Styles scores his first Number 1 as a solo artist with debut single Sign Of The Times. Taken from his fortchoming self-titled debut album, due for release May 12, Sign Of The Times pipped Edâs Shape Of You to the top spot by just over 3,000 copies, the track has been downloaded 39,000 times and accumulated 3.5 million streams in the seven days since its release. Itâs not all bad though for Ed â Shape of You (2) and Galway Girl (3) are still both in the Top 5, while Shape of You was the most streamed track of the week with 6.8 million plays. Elsewhere, there are small gains for Martin Jensenâs Solo Dance and Zedd & Alessia Caraâs Stay which both advance one place to new peak positions of 7 and 8 respectively. His first #1 single was with the One Direction hit âDrag Me Downâ (#1 Aug. â15). #21: Halsey âNow Or Neverâ â American singer-songwriter Halsey picks up her first appearance in the ARIA top 50 as a lead artist with âNow Or Neverâ. The track is the first single released from Halseyâs forthcoming second album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, due in June. She previously topped the Singles Chart as featured artist on The Chainsmokersâ âCloserâ (#1 Aug. â16). #42: Kyle âiSpyâ â The top 50 debut from LA rapper Kyle. âiSpyâ, which features fellow rapper Lil Yachty, is currently sitting in the top ten in the US at #4. More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me is the follow-up to the bandâs first top 50 album Throw Me In The River (#18 Nov. â14). #4: The Chainsmokers âMemories...Do Not Openâ â American EDM act The Chainsmokers make their ARIA Albums Chart debut with Memories...Do Not Open. The duoâs debut album includes the singles âParisâ (#4 Jan. â17), the Coldplay collaboration âSomething Just Like Thisâ (#2 Mar. â17) and âThe Oneâ (#36 Apr. â17). #10: Pentatonix âPTX, Vol. 4â â A new EP from Pentatonix gives the American a cappella group their second top ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. The seven track release features the quintetâs takes on tracks by the likes of Queen, John Lennon and A-ha, as well as a cover of âJoleneâ featuring Dolly Parton. Their self-titled fourth album remains their highest peak (#5 Oct. â15). #14: Father John Misty âPure Comedyâ â Pure Comedy is American singer-songwriter Josh Tillmanâs third album under the pseudonym Father John Misty. It comes two years on from I Love You, Honeybear (#38 Feb. â15) and is Tillmanâs second appearance in the ARIA top 50. #15: Bethel Music âStarlight (Live)â â American worship group Bethel music score their fourth top 50 entry in four years with Starlight (Live). The album comes a year on from Have It All (Live) (#8 Mar. â16) and was recorded while the group was on tour in the US. #16: Falling In Reverse âComing Homeâ â The fourth album from American rock band Falling In Reverse. The follow-up to Just Like You (#8 Mar. â15) is also the groupâs fourth album to chart in the ARIA top 50. #19: Joey Bada$$ âAll-AmerikkkanBada$$â â Album two from American rapper Joey Bada$$. All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ comes just over two years on from B4.DA.$$ (#17 Jan. â15) and features appearances by Schoolboy Q, J Cole, Chronixx and more. #20: Deep Purple âInfiniteâ â Hard rock legends Deep Purple return to the ARIA top 50 for the first time since 1999 with Infinite. The bandâs twentieth studio album is the follow-up to 2013âs Now What?! and includes a cover of The Doorsâ âRoadhouse Bluesâ. Deep Purpleâs last top 50 appearance was with 30: Very Best Of (#41 Apr. â99). #25: Rachael Leahcar âShadowsâ â Studio album four from former Voice contestant Rachael Leahcar. Shadows comes three years on from Here Comes The Sun (#38 Apr. â14) is also her fourth album to chart in the ARIA top 50. #34: The Ten Tenors âWish You Were Hereâ â The eighth top 50 entry on the ARIA Albums Chart for vocal ensemble The Ten Tenors. Wish You Were Here pays tribute to sadly-departed artists including David Bowie, Prince, John Lennon, Amy Winehouse and Jon English. The group last charted with Our Christmas Wish (#16 Nov. â15). #46: Deez Nuts âBinge & Purgatoryâ â Melbourne hardcore band Deez Nuts score their fourth entry in the ARIA top 50 with Binge & Purgatory. The album sees Vincent singing tracks made famous by singer/actor Mario Lanza. Vincent last hit the top ten with Songs From The Heart (#10 Oct. â11). #5: John Mayer âThe Search For Everythingâ â With his seventh studio album, singer-songwriter John Mayer picks up his sixth top ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. The Search For Everything is Mayerâs first studio release since Paradise Valley (#1 Sept. â13) and features contributions from Sheryl Crow and Beach Boy Al Jardine, among others. #13: Soundtrack âThe Fate Of The Furious: The Albumâ â The soundtrack to the eighth instalment in the Fast & Furious film franchise. The Fate Of The Furious: The Album includes tracks by Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Migos, Jeremih and Pitbull, as well as the G-Eazy & Kehlani track âGood Lifeâ (new at #31 on this weekâs Singles Chart). The album is Giddensâ second solo studio release. Sheâs also the lead singer, violinist, banjo player and a founding member of the Grammy-winning country, blues and old-time music band Carolina Chocolate Drops.
