this was the 25th album of his career(inc,'live' and 'comps') at that time...
as the title suggests, he is singing songs penned by Kris Kristofferson...
there's nothing i love on this album which is rare for me and Willie, but its so hard to love covers of songs
that Kris himself did so fantastically.
"me and bobby mcgee" and "why me,lord" came pretty close to love ratings, but i simply counldnt do it!
all up though, not a bad album and at least these songs are done in the 'country' mould as they were originally intended
and not Willie trying to do them in his normal jazzy/blues style

SLIM DUSTY "australian bush ballads" cd, 1965
not sure how many albums this was into his career but he'd been making albums for a good 20yrs prior to this one coming out and and continued making them right up to his death in 2003...
he eventually released 109 studio albums in his career(and all for Columbia Records)...
this one has twelve tracks, it contains songs about the 'heartland', as most of his songs do...
three on here i dont like including "the dying stockman" in which Slim yodels towaeds the end...i dislike the yodel at the best of times, yep sorry Slim, even you!,
but at least there are four love scores which keep the flag flying for Slim Dusty including...
....one of his best known tracks in "when the rain tumbles down in july"...
Slim never sold out to commercialism, he stayed true to his "real counrty roots" until the day he died, infact he probably died with his hat and boots still on LMAO!

Hard to not like most of this. Simple acoustic guitar or piano and a few with percussion folk tunes. Very similar in style to her At Seventeen
hit. This her 13th album and none ever reached the peak of that Between The Lines. Maybe a one hit wonder artist? And she has probably lived off
that hit ever since. This album did not even hit the chart. Nothing great on it and a few I didn't like. Doesn't show any singles from it. Noted
for being her "coming out" album which may have even been a down side considering the time period. She was married for 5 years and has a
daughter from that. She married her new partner in Canada in 2003 who also has a child, so they must have been experimenting back then. I never
experimented, as I knew I was straight when I saw my first naked girl.
