29C/84F today....another perfect day IMO.

since the last time I posted here
the weather heated back up to around the 38C/100F mark last weekend...
since then the day temps have declined rapidly until we got a maximum temperature of 21C/70F today....
the storm clouds rolled in late this afternoon and weve had the hail, the driving rain and the thunder/lightning.
look, we don't get this sort of weather often here so its a bit of a novelty for me, and brings back memories of my childhood in the UK...I love it!

had our first significant snowfall of the season a couple days ago, about 3 inches
bracing for a big one today and over the weekend
expecting 10-12 inches
that will keep us white for a month or so

Cold here and rainy. Most of the state, snow.

Sorry to see the tremendous snowstorm along the mid Atlantic states...it will miss us...our winter from hell last year was way beyond compare...snowed continuously for 10 weeks ...unbelievable. How do the drivers handle the snow in the south...no winter tires I presume...dangerous tricky driving.
Today was sunny and chilly...-6 Celsius...that's 21 Fahrenheit for my American friends.
Tons of the white stuff from last year!

the weather has been warming up again this week until it peaked at around 38C/101F yesterday.
when I woke up this morning at 4am it was 30C/86F,
by 7am it had dropped to 21C/70F...
it ended up making it back to around 23C/73F with thunderstorms...
in fact, just about the whole of Australia was covered in cloud today...
and when you consider our country is about the same size as mainland US, that's a hell of a lot of cloud cover/rain!
dumb thing is, is that it is supposed to be the middle of summer here????!
