I can atest to that....
My now ex father-in-law ended up with dementia.
His last couple of years were spent in a nursing home.
Total blank expression and wouldnt communicate with anyone, when a jazz song was played on the radio in there he would tap his feet and hands in time with the music.

LOL, i can see it now:

"the times they are a changing" advertising incontinence pads for the elderly.

"knocking on heavens door" advertising funeral servies.

"a hard rains a gonna fall" advertising umbrellas.

and so on.....

Lol! Wouldn't be at all surprised if there were just a few strings attached to that deal.

How weird - local radio station is playing "The Times They are a-Changin' " as I type this!! Big Grin

whats the deal with all these monoliths popping up all over the world??

back to Dylan selling off his back catalogue rights...
saw an interesting interview/view-point from a music expert on BBC-World,
he was saying theres quite a few established artists have done it of late: The Offspring and Stevie Nicks to name a couple and the reason is because of streaming/digital sales...theres no money in it and it just gets harder every year for them to make money.
theyre taking the money and investing primarliy in property portfolios as longterm it is a safe bet.
and as they get older they want actual money, not numbers on a page.

any thoughts???

Selling price was 300 million USD - not bad for a hillbilly.
