Looking forward to listening to Buddy Guy...first time I ever heard him was last year at Blues n Roots festival. Damn good singer..bellows it out and gets stuck right into it..brilliant to watch live..you can tell he just loves what he does.
Pink is also another good one..dont think I've ever heard a song of hers I dont like yet!

For Record Store Day I made a trip to a store a few towns over that I didn't know existed. Place was AWESOME. Definitely gonna go back at some point.
Little crowded though. They clearly don't have many people on a daily basis because it was impossible to walk through. But, it was fun.

on display and I was really excited for that. But, its one of those stores where they keep the physical copy behind the register and when they went to ring it up, the 2 guys there acted like they had never seen it before. They ended up not being able to find it.
But, what can ya do? It seems pretty rare to find anyway. 
hrug:Props to whoever listed "Spyro Gyra" as one of their favorite fusion bands in the thread that was going a while back asking who your favorite jazz fusion bands were/are. I want to say it was Jerome or SteveO, but I may be entirely off on that. Too lazy to go back and check right now. But I went back a few weeks ago and looked through it and have fallen in love with SG since checking them out. Thanks.

as some of you are aware last saturday was "record day"....
and to mark the occasion in the UK this year Paul Weller released a limited edition(450 copies on 7" vinyl) two brand new tracks which apparently will never be issued again on anything..
so i got my aunt out there to see if she could go to the local indipentant vinyl store to see if they would have any copies heading their way, as it turns out they sure did and she went down there and lined up at 7am in the cold frosty morning in an attempt to get in early and maybe aquire me a copy....well, she did, and i should have it in the mail in a couple of weeks time...
the single is factory sealed, and i will not open it asit will form part of my Paul Weller mint condition vinyl collection...
i have just heard one of the tracks on youtube...its a piece of crap but better than anything off his last album 'sonik kicks', and it is a collectors item...so i had to get it,
the asking price on the day was eight pounds, i was a copy on ebay yesterday and the price in the auction had alreay gone to twenty pounds so i guess my little investment could be worth something to another fan in the miniscule off-chance i have to sell my collection at some point in the distant future!
but for now, it will remain in my 'paul weller vinyl' box!
