What Are You Reading ? - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-07-2015 are you sure Paul Harding is not really Stephen King???? What Are You Reading ? - Jerome - 31-07-2015 Just finished Carlos Santana's autobiography 'The Universal Tone' recently. A very humble man - and one of the world's most accomplished guitarists. Some real words of wisdom in these pages. Going to have another stab at a book I read many moons ago - 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand. I found this heavy going the first time I read it but utterly fascinating at the same time. A unique book. What Are You Reading ? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-08-2015 ![]() Willie's autobiography.... fantastic book from the get-go.... all his trials and tribulations are in here, his failed marriages,IRS problems, drug busts...you name it! his struggle to get noticed as a writer and singer/songwriter also.... occasionally harrowing, often funny in the way he describes things... by far the best autobiography I have ever read.. you've only got to look at the wrinkles on his face of the cover shot to know this guy has a million and one stories to tell... well worth a read even if youre not a fan... A+ next up its novel time with Stephen King's latest offering "finders keepers" What Are You Reading ? - Music Head - 07-08-2015 Adam Johnson - The Orphan Master's Son - 2012 ![]() Set in current day North Korea. Stationed in South Korea back in the 60's made the book of interest to me. The trouble with blending fact and fiction is you never know which is which. That's the problem I had with this. A low level spy is sent on a failed mission to the U.S. which results in his imprisonment. Some torture stuff before the guy escapes, assuming the identity of a nemesis of the Dear Leader. He gets his revenge by smuggling the wife and kids of that guy out of the country to freedom in America. Captured in the end we have to assume he met his maker. A lot of details of life in that repressive country. Fact or fiction is left up to you. On the to buy list. What Are You Reading ? - Jerome - 07-08-2015 Hey MH - what's your lasting impression of Korea? - just curious. What Are You Reading ? - SteveO - 11-08-2015 The old Senators...gone to Minnesota...my Montreal Expos went to Washington...now The Nationals...they have a good shot to make the playoffs..I kind of pull for them...former Expos team! I presume you mean Washington city not the state, Oldies! ![]() oldies65 Wrote:just finished a book on the history of Washington baseball. What Are You Reading ? - Music Head - 13-08-2015 Jeb Bush & Clint Bolick - Immigration Wars - 2013 ![]() Wonder if Clint is mad cause he didn't get his pic on the cover. They have a solution to the problem. I dare you to figure out what it is after reading this. Written like a true politician. Say something that appeals to everyone.
