CLIFF RICHARD "mistletoe and wine" b/w "marmaduke" 1988
without a doubt...
this "a" side is my favourite Sir Cliff Richard single ever,great lyrics,melody etc etc
and a perfect 'holiday' song(well, as far as pop music goes anyway)
its a shame the "b" side is nothing but typical CR drivel!
single reached #1 in the UK but only managed #29 here

BEE GEES "massachusetts" b/w "barker of the ufo" 1967
when Robin,Maurice and Barry get together i listen!
its pretty hard to beat these guys for melodies,harmonies and allround pop-perfection IMO...
love the "a" side which is up there with their best stuff
"b" side is a bit different for the Brothers Gibb, but still very good also
single only reached #2 here

BARRON KNIGHTS "big bad bond" b/w "the loan arranger" 1986
"a" side is a parody of the old 'big bad john' song,re-written by this English comedy group for Aussie businessman Alan Bond who was the supposed mastermind of the "australiaII" yacht which wrestled the "americas cup" off the NYYC after 125yrs...
"a" side i snot bad, "b" side is crap!

"a" side is a duet between Suzi and Smokie vocalist Chris Norman...
song has more of a Smokie sound than a Suzi sound, i love Smokie and Chris as a vocalist so i obviously love this track.
"b" side is another duet song, i like that one also...

my copy is a re-issue from 1982...
single failed first time round so after their success i guess the label thought they could cash in on this one...
"a" side is okay for what it is,
"b" side is crap
single failed to chart here but did reach the UK top10 upon re-issue

"a" side is okay,nothing special at all, but back then it would have been something i guess!
"b" is better than the "a" side IMO, it has a bit of a jazz feel to it
