RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-04-2026 BEATLES "revolver" cd 1966 their seventh this one is full of classic songs and its not even the best Beatles' album that shows you just how great they were and how far they had come in four short years since "love me do" weakest track on here for me is "tomorrow never knows" yet the experts love it album scores 2.5 which means I LOVE THIS ALBUM lets go for this Lennon classic: RE: What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 22-04-2026 Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells II. The best thing ever. I haven't listened to it for a while now that I think of it. Just what was needed to clear the air in my head! RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 25-04-2026 MIKE BATT "tarot suite" cd 1979 his third solo album, a first for me picked this up in a recycle/discount bin for $1 i only know his Wombles' material from when i was a child LOL a concept album based on various cards in the Tarot card set i played this one several times in the car very enjoyable album album scores 2.2 on three or four listens which means I LIKE THIS ALBUM could have picked anything but on this occasion.... RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-05-2026 BRIAN MAY "back to the light" vinyl 1992 one of the gifts i purchased for Lynne's birthday today no need to say who he is his debut solo album of three some Queen styled rock, some hard rock, a blistering instrumental and a folkie type tune the dude never had the greatest voice but boy can he write songs Brian's version of "too much love will kill you" appears on this album all up surprisingly good because i didnt know what to expect from a May solo effort album scores an initial 2.2 which means I LIKE THIS ALBUM favourite: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-05-2026 KEITH RICHARDS "main offender" cd 1992 second of three solo albums from Keef, i own just one has all the riffs and sound of the Stones but lacks the voice of Jagger this sounds like leftovers from the cutting room floor to me score for this one is 1.4 which means I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM favourite for me: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-05-2026 ROGER TAYLOR "outsider" vinyl 2021 one of the LP gifts i gave Lynne for her birthday Queen drummer/songwriter his sixth of six solo albums, nineth if you count the three with side project The Cross well that was interesting but in a good way some of it was reminiscent to David Gilmour's mellow vocal tones (not musically though) almost dreamy at times, moreso than i would have expected from him a couple of guitar driven tracks but nothing like Queen or anyone in particular sort of had its own little sound which was good nothing to dislike on here but at the same time nothing i loved after one listen this gives a score of 2.0 which means I LIKE THIS ALBUM favourite: RE: What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 09-05-2026 (25-04-2026, 06:16)CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:I like this album, very much - great songs and musicians. Absolutely love "Run Like The Wind". RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 10-05-2026 ^^ based on that album i would pick up other Batt albums if i saw them. RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 12-05-2026 TRAIN "train" cd 1998 from 'frisco debut album of eleven, i own five from memory solid rock band who never disappoint this one showed the promise they would perfect over the next couple of albums album scores 2.2 from me which means I LIKE THIS ALBUM fave was not a single: Blind lead off single: RE: What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-05-2026 NEIL YOUNG "on the beach" cd 1974 a revisit WOW, as much as i love this album it went up another notch for me on this listen fast becoming a top 4 or 5 of his career for me now album scores 2.7 from me which means I LOVE THIS ALBUM my favourite on this listen |
