my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-08-2013 ADAM ANT "friend or foe" b/w "juanito the bandito" 1982 thinking this was his second or third solo single after leaving "the ants"... same formula as his previous singles obver the previous couple of years, still okay to listen to and way superior to half the crap we hear nowadays!, "b" side...piece of crap with a stupid mexican type feel to it!, single was one of his last to chart here, reaching a position of #49 on our charts, hey, his videos were always good cheesy fun and this one is no different.. "friend or foe" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IP-2Ck-wak vevo video "juanito the bandito" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su4y7wBArDw audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-08-2013 CULTURE CLUB "move away" b/w "sexuality" 1986 one of George's last chart entries here...typical CC sounds happening here, not one of their best singles...certainly not in the same league as 'karma chameleon', 'church of the poisoned mind' or the haunting ballad 'victims', but still okay, "b" side...crap, cant think of one "b" side of theirs i actually like(but time will tell when the other singles i own come out... when i checked up the chart placing of this single here i was surprised at its #10 placing...just couldnt recall it getting that that high...this single was also released on a 3" vinyl record as a gimmick...i have that one also somewhere... "no reply" *** "im a loser" *** "words of love" ** "eight days a week" ** not putting up links for this one as we all know the tracks! my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-08-2013 THE WHO "my generation" b/w "substitute" 1988. 25th anniversary re-issue disc of their two biggest hits here.... the single reached #88 here, but originally, the songs made it to #2 and #5 respectively on the Aussie charts... superb single with two of the best 1960s rock anthems together! again, not putting up links as we all know the songs! "my generation" *** "substitute" *** my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-08-2013 DAVID RUFFIN "heavy love" b/w "me and rock and roll(are here to stay)" 1976 a 1976 single release from the ex-Temptations lead vocalist... pretty sure this is the second and final one i own(but i could be wrong?)... single failed to chart here also... not bad soul/r+b, but not great neither, but i do love the guy's vocals so the tracks are bareable! "heavy love" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNf8E7EoMoo audio "me and rock and roll" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcw5tj3CCEQ audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-08-2013 ROXY MUSIC "jealous guy" b/w "to turn you on" 1981 Bryan Ferry's tribute to the then recently departed John Lennon... classic song IMO...not sure whether i love this version or Lennon's best, either way, its a cover thats as good as the original... gotta love Ferry's vocals on this song, not as mournful and emotive as John's but still suit the track.. "b" side, an average Roxy Music track IMO(from 'avalon' album), nothing special, but still okay, but then again im not a huge fan of these guys anyway! obviously, the single made it to the pinnacle of the charts here as it did with just about everywhere else in the world!
