Best Album Poll Requests - MoJoRaven - 23-06-2011 I may be too new here to suggest a band for possible inclusion but how about The Black Keys? If I missed them and they're already suggested, I apologize. My apologies for this. I just realized they are just about due to release 7th album this year. And I think Chulahoma is disqualified because its an EP. So perhaps we can reconsider them in the future when they meet the requirements. (Still learning the ropes here and there's a LOT to look through. Loving it all so far. Great forum!) Best Album Poll Requests - SteveO - 26-06-2011 Genesis are one of those groups that have been somewhat forgotten recently. I prefered the "Peter Gabriel Genesis". Certainly another brilliant British band from the 60s/70s ! Albums to vote for in my opinion: From Genesis to Revelation Nursery Cryme Foxtrot Selling England by the Pound Trick of the Tail Wind & Wuthering The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Duke Best Album Poll Requests - SteveO - 26-06-2011 I nominate another progressive rock group of the 60s and 70s from England - ELP (Emerson,Lake & Palmer). They released more live albums than studio albums - Pictures at an Exhibition (live) is fabulous but we are only voting for studio albums as it should be ! They only released nine studio albums...the last four are unmentionable..real duds ...imo ! The classic ones are their first five: Emerson,Lake & Palmer - Emerson,Lake & Palmer Tarkus Trilogy Brain Salad Surgery Works - Vols. 1 & 2 Black Moon Best Album Poll Requests - Jerome - 27-06-2011 SteveO Wrote:I nominate another progressive rock group of the 60s and 70s from England - ELP (Emerson,Lake & Palmer). Black Moon ia anything but. A great album with some excellent writing. And Greg Lake's songwriting & lyrics on his contribution to 'Works Vol 1' still has to be beaten. http://youtu.be/YBfg8qtpptE Just love those lavish orchestral arrangements!
