after two years of very few cases of Covid here in Western Australia we are now playing catch-up with the rest of the world..
from a handful of cases three weeks ago we now have had over a 1000 new cases every day this week (1770 overnight)...

440.6 million cases recorded over the last 2 years:
3.3 million of those were recorded in the last 2 days.
three people i work with now have Covid and WA recorded 2,400+ overnight,
we've now had 10,000 cases since covid began, and 9,000 of those have been in the last 3 or so weeks.

seems that 2.5 million cases every 36 or so hours has become the normal....
here in West Australia we recorded 2,800+ overnight, a record for the pandemic so far and just shy of a week over 2K new cases a day.
