What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 19-03-2015
nice live clip Ruby, thanks!
i thought Vienna was probably the greatest song of the early 1980s and almost certainly in the top5 singles of the decade:
what be the others in my top5 of the 1980s....?
Soft Cell................tainted love
Michael Jackson.....billie jean
Culture Club..........victims
i'll leave the final spot open for now!
the video for "vienna" was as dark and atmospheric as the song itself...awesome stuff IMO
for those who may not know the song, or have forgotten it, here it is:

"Vienna" is a brilliant track - no doubt about it, and Sir Midge is a talented guy. I agree with Soft Cell and your unrevealed pick, lol! I'm taking a trip down new wave lane at the moment - all triggered by The Fixx. Who knows what will surface next?! ....

talking about "new wave" or even "new romantics" or the "synth-pop" from that period...
i love Human League's "dare",one of the best of the genre IMO
here's my favourite track from it, and its a sublime live version to boot!

Yes! There are a couple of singles that really stand out as examples of that era - this is another one, IMHO, and I see they're releasing a new album this month. No idea what it will be like. It seems to be a bit of a trend - all these bands coming back to life a quarter of a century later! Oh well - desperate times call for desperate measures. There's so much crud out there that the 'dead' are having to rise! Lol!!

Moto Atma - Tangerine Dream - one of their better efforts - love the opening track - great vibe to it.

Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 7-13 - Superb piece of work. A return to the sound of the late 70's electronica scene.

Brilliant underground Japanese hip hop artist,,,DJ Krush! I do like rap and hip hop from the underground! Listening to the relaxing chill out sounds of his album Zen.

Jean Michel Jarre - Aero. Some brilliant re-workings of his classic pieces. For any JMJ fan it's a must.
