CLIFF RICHARD "we dont talk anymore" b/w "count me out" 1979

last single in this boxset and im just aobut over Cliff Richard!
this superb disco-esque/pop/dance "a" side became Cliff's tenth #1 hit in the UK(he has had only four more since then, but he in the Guiness Book of Records as "the only artist to have #1 hit singles in six decades of music...50s,60s,70s,80s,90s,00s)
anyway, this "a" side was his one and only UK #1 hit in the 1970s...
"b" side...another piece of Cliff crap IMO,terrible ballad!

Wow Crazy mate! You are a huge Cliff Richard fan, dude!

my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-12-2013

No im not a "fan" SteveO....
you have just insulted me mate!!!!LOL
i just happen to own a singles boxset that just happens to contain what i consider to be his best singles!

he has released some 160 singles over his career plus 100 albums all up...
i own about 15singles and maybe 2-4 albums, thats it, a fan would own a lot more!

my "singles" collection - SteveO - 28-12-2013

Right you are mate! Sorry for that!

ADAM ANT "goody two shoes" b/w "red scab" 1982

Stuart Goddard's first solo single after dropping The Ants...
superb "a" side IMO, it has all the typical stereotypical sounds he was known for...
ie: drum beats to the fore, catchy melodies, kooky videos, and simple hooks...
"b" side has more of a John Lydon/PiL sound happening, well Adam Ant has a right to do it as he was originally part of the UK punk scene...
single peaked at #1 here and rightfully so

SUZI QUATRO "rock hard" b/w "state of mind" 1980

"a" side has all the typical sounds of a SuziQ song...i love it!
"b" side is pretty lame, sort of starts of with early 80s synths, then tries to rock out but fails misreably!
i was surprised to find that this one actually sold quite well here peaking at #9

SteveO Wrote:Love Suzi !!!!..Raw and no nonsense rock n roll!!!

Rock 'n' Roll's first bonafide 'female rocker' IMO...and she preceded Joan Jett by almost a decade...

Suzi was born and raised in Detroit, but her family moved to the UK when she was in her teens...
makes you wonder if she'd have gone into music had she stayed in Michigan???, guess we'll never know?

another question also...
is Suzi classed as a US or UK vocalist because she started her career there!?

ADAM ANT "puss'n'boots" b/w "kiss the drummer" 1983

current box of singles(which started yesterday) will probably have a few Bananarama and Ant music, as they havent come out so far...
pretty sure this was Adam's fourth or fifth solo single...
it still has all the trademark ant-sounds butits not as good as his previous releases, maybe he was running out of ideas by this time?
"a" side is okay(passable),its video is still kooky like his other videos...
"b" side is a load of old rubbish
single happened to be his final single chart entry here,it reached a lowly #84,but did make the top10 in the UK
