What 's the weather like where you are ? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-02-2015

our storms hold off until the evening then make up for it throughout the night...
Christ, the sound of the thunder rattling my car set off its alarm last night!

today.....42C/107F,overcast and humid, its evening now, the thunder has started but no rain yet, expecting hail tonight!

strange weather really as there havent been any cyclones pushing the humid unsettled conditions down from up north...?

Being in the south and by the sea, we don't usually get it as bad as some places. This 'real' snow is what the one of the local TV weather programmes predicted, unless it came as rain. I'm hoping it turns to rain and washes away, but it does not look that way at the moment.

are you interested in house-swapping or more to the point....weather swapping!?

After sweeping snow off the steps and my car, it has now melted and gone. The snow was soft anyway, but the temperatures are forecast to be low at least to the end of the week. They are minus figures, but compared with Steve's Dartmouth temperatures, it's a heatwave!

I have never been to Australia, CH, but would love to go. I had a friend from Western Australia, who told me that it was mostly desert and too hot for her, even as a native (albeit descended from Europeans). She had red hair and pale skin, which wouldn't have helped. I think she preferred it here.

I don't mind the rain, of which we have a lot, but if it never snowed again in England, it would be too soon for me. The trouble is we have a government with the brains of plankton, who do not fund the gritting and salting of the roads although we get snow almost every winter.

i wouldnt know the percentage of WA that is desert but as a guess 90-95% would be close.
red hair/pale skin....no good for hot sunny climates.

That is comparible with ours, which is 46%, according to one of my devices. The other says 51%. Yahoo weather informs me it is 93%!

Who likes snow? I'll send you some! A horrible onslaught of snow storms one after the other this year not unlike our friends along the US Eastern seaboard! Flurries today and temp is -10 Celsius or 15 Fahrenheit. Only consolation is there is no brisk wind. The pooch loves the snow and high snow banks. They haven't even ploughed the sidewalks up here yet! Three feet of snow where there's supposed to be asphalt! No use complaining to the City...falls on deaf ears! I need snowshoes...total snowfall is at 70cm or 2 feet , four inches...more to come on Monday!

Almost tempted to go to Florida, Kentucky, Australia or North Carolina!!!!...lol
